Dr. Michelle Hart is a family physician with a special interest in women’s health, contraception, and office-based procedures. She is passionate about relieving some of the pain and suffering that living in a female body can bring and is committed to providing evidence-based, patient centred approach using modern pain management techniques in a supportive and compassionate environment.

Dr. Hart has extensive experience in menopause and perimenopause management, IUD and Nexplanon consultations and insertions, and endometrial biopsies.

Migraine Botox treatments and minor surgical procedures such as vulvar skin lesion assessment and removals complement her care of the whole person.

Past clinical experiences includes the practice and ownership of community family medicine clinic at Hart Family Medical, rural hospital medicine, obstetrics, and continuing emergency medicine in rural urgent care settings.

Dr. Hart earned her medical degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and has been practicing in Alberta since 2003. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, where she enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Hart enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren, flower gardening, and Pilates.
